Orla steals the show!
At first, there was a wedding
Way back near the start of this year’s wedding season, that feels like such a long time ago. I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely couple, Annie & Gethin at the wonderful Craig-y-Nos Castle.
Craig-Y-Nos is one of the most unusual venues you will ever visit, but as a wedding photographer, it is brilliant. It has a very long and sad history, but for the past decade or so has been a hotel and wedding venue. The story of its history will have to wait for another time and place though.
The weather was great, everyone was there on time which meant that everything on the day went perfectly, yet there was one very small person trying to steal the show. Oh yeah…that would be baby Orla. And why not? But it wasn’t Orla’s day, so a few months later she came to the studio for her own little shoot.

Again, Orla was wonderful…Those eyes!!!
Annie had had some photographs taken when she was a similar age and wanted some of Orla that would be in keeping with them. Such a lovely idea, proving that a classic image never really ages.
